2024 Borough Council Candidate for Benn Ward
Becca grew up in South Wales and moved to the Midlands when she was ten. 15 years ago she trained to grow organic vegetables as part of the first group of students studying with the Soil Association apprenticeship scheme. Becca is the farm manager at Five Acre Community Farm near Ryton-on-Dunsmore and has lived in the Rugby area for the last 11 years.
Phil Hemsley
2024 Borough Council Candidate for Wolston and the Lawfords Ward
Phil Hemsley is a retired mechanical engineer and has lived in Rugby for 35 years. His working life was designing and developing advanced turbomachinery and thermodynamic cycles within the power industry.
He is committed to helping people tackle their heating bills. Since retirement he has been active in CO2 reduction technology selection and application. A member of the Church of England Energy Advisory Network, he supports churches and individuals in CO2 and energy reduction. He pioneered and organised the installation of solar panel, insulation, and heat pumps at St George’s church Rugby.
